Christmas is finally over...
Since I've been married, my Christmas experience has expanded from one to five celebrations. But it's finally all over. And although I love for the holiday to last as long as possible, I am happy to have things settle into routine again. Christmas in Michigan was absolutely wonderful. I think the two in-laws (mine and Jonathan's) added to all the fun and festivity of it. Now I'm ready to go to a gym and lose some of this weight that I've "found".
Of course, I've cleaned things up and made the apartment look Januaryish. I asked Luke's opinion of how I decorated the top of the entertainment center, and his reply: "You'll just change it again next week anyway!" He's right, obviously.
I left a few of my favorite gifts out to enjoy...and I took pictures of them for you to see! The Wellingtons are from Luke. I've always wanted to have a pair of Wellies...they make me more Brittish! Mom knit the stockings, Jenny painted the still-lifes, and my mother-in-law found first edition Potter books for me! The sterling spoons are old family pieces; mom shared a few of them with me so I can use them for the glorious tea party that I'll have some day.

I love your wellies! I've often craved a pair myself. It will be so great to wear them, especially in the spring, when it will be wet and gross. How delightful!
