Lavender and Laughter
Life is too short to drink tea out of a plastic cup....I created this blog to pour the lavender and laughter of my life into yours.
About Me
- Name: Elizabeth
- Location: Iowa, United States
I am complicated and I am a Marshwiggle (like Puddleglum from Lewis' The Silver Chair). Personality tests don't work on me. I yearn to see Jesus face to face, and to see the love in His eyes. I am learning to walk on water and to be a new person in Christ. I am in love with my husband and baby, and I love the smell of coffee and lavender mixed together.

Oh man, I feel like I really need some fresh air right now. Would I be crazy if I opened my apartment window in 30 degree weather? I suppose I ought to go for a walk, but there's nowhere to walk to and no one to walk with (Luke is gone today). Hmmm...I think I'm getting cabin fever. I got my March/April issue of Victoria today...and it's full of gardens!!!

Spring Things
My beautiful tulips from Luke! I'm working really hard to make them last as long as possible!
And here is a picture of my first framed mouse! I drew her especially for me!Friday, February 15, 2008
7 Random Things for Joanna (Eighth Street)
Hmmm,
I'm obsessed with big trees, I rarely read articles in my magazines (just look at the pictures), I like chocolate frosting on saltine crackers, I'm most excited that I'll have a little window seat in my new house, I hate any type of loud noise, my plants are my pets, and I still collect charms for my mom's old charm bracelet.

Texas
Our trip to Texas was fun...we spent three relaxing days at the ocean (where Luke played guitar and I read). Then we visited the river walk and Alamo in San Antonio for one day. Finally we headed to Dallas and I saw my great-Aunt June (who I hadn't seen in about 10 years). I'm glad to be home after driving well over 2,000 miles.

Hurray for the end of January
I'm glad January is over. I just don't like it...no holidays and no nice weather. Not much going on here. Luke built me a cupboard, which I painted. I finally picked out robin's egg blue pillows for the livingroom. My paperwhites that I started from bulbs bloomed! And I cleaned my kitchen sink really really well.
Next week Luke and I are going to Texas for a little fresh air. I am going to visit my great-aunt while there, and we're going to go to the ocean (cheap rates because it's their off-season). We're also getting ready to build a house...whoa crazy, huh! I'm still in shock with that one.
I'm also getting my first mouse picture framed...for some reason that's a big deal to me!
Oh, and I'm finally working out at a gym. I'm memorizing the book of Philippians while I run on the eliptical...and am about half-way through the first chapter. Spiritual and physical excercise!
