Lavender and Laughter

Life is too short to drink tea out of a plastic cup....I created this blog to pour the lavender and laughter of my life into yours.

I am complicated and I am a Marshwiggle (like Puddleglum from Lewis' The Silver Chair). Personality tests don't work on me. I yearn to see Jesus face to face, and to see the love in His eyes. I am learning to walk on water and to be a new person in Christ. I am in love with my husband and baby, and I love the smell of coffee and lavender mixed together.

Hi Elizabeth...yes collage is similar and not...to scrapbooking. You take different papers and clip art...whatever, and play with them untill you come up with something that is pleasing to you. Its very enjoyable =). I'm very new at it myself and want to learn whatever I can. Right now I have packing tape stuck to newpaper pictures and am soaking them in the laundry tub for 15 min. The tape is supposed to 'lift' off the picture. I'm only half successful but still trying. Why don't you try doing some collage, you might love it like I do! You can use a piece of scrapbook paper for the background, or watercolor paper & build on that with old dictionary pages with the edges darkened to look old... and build from there with stamps, stickers, pictures, words or sayings clipped from old books. (I use a glue stick to glue) The Wednesday Stamper has loads of 'artists like yourself who do fabulous work...you can go over there and click on some. Nice to hear from you, hope you are having a good day...=) just thought of something else. Flickr has a collage group that you can join and there are hundreds plus images you can use for your art/collage. Fun!
